Year Round Events and Great Dining
One of the reasons why living in Reno is great, is because of the great year round events that we have. You might have heard of Hot August Nights, it was started in 1986 where 10,000 spectators gathered around to see Wolfman Jack, The Righteous Brothers, and Jan & Dean. People were able to relive their childhood years of the 50’s and 60’s where the love of cars and the birth of Rock and Roll began. With that being said, Hot August Nights was born! Hot August nights in Reno is held around the first week of August. If loud cars and Rock and Roll aren’t your thing, there are many other great events to check out while living in Reno. There is an annual best of the West Rib cook that brings over 500,000 people to Reno at the end of August. The best of the west Rib Cook Off is held at the Nugget and in the surrounding Victorian Ave areas of Sparks. With crafts, music, endless ribs, and family fun for everyone, whats not to like? The Aces Ballpark opened in April of 2009 and has proven to be a centerpiece of the downtown Reno redevelopment efforts. The Aces Ballpark has an official capacity of 9,000 with over 6,000 fixed stadium seats and plenty of general admission space.

Tesla Is Coming to Reno
On Sept 4th, 2014 Tesla announced that it will build a very large, state of the art gigafactory in Reno NV. The economic impact that this gigafactory will bring to Reno is phenomenal, with an estimated one hundred billion dollars in revenue to be spread throughout the next 20 years in the Silver State of Nevada. They are estimating roughly 6,500 jobs becoming available just for this single Tesla facility in the Reno area.
Easy Access to Ski Resorts and Lake Tahoe!
We have multiple major highways giving extremely convenient access to a huge amount of world class Ski Resorts in the Lake Tahoe area. You can reach North Lake Tahoe via I-80 west which is roughly 35 miles. Alternatively you can reach South Lake Tahoe via Highway 395 which is roughly 31 miles. The closest resort to Reno is the Mt. Rose Tahoe resort which is just 23 MINUTES from Reno/Tahoe International Airport and has served as a local favorite since the 1960’s!
